Worship Services Jesus and the cross are central in our worship and faith.  We talk openly of the impossible each Sunday when we say that Jesus gave his life for us, and now it is not we who live but Christ who lives in us. (Galatians 2:20) Worship is how God gets his word to us.  This word of life comes to us through scripture, preaching, music, and prayer, and the Lord's Supper.  We don't shy away from God's word of judgement or his word of grace, but we hold that he speaks to us both law and gospel. Here God holds our attention and he comes to give us his gifts: forgiveness of sins, faith in Jesus Christ, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
