Calendar Worshipping Serving Learning Ministries About Us Home
Serving our Neighbors

Jesus came, "not to be served, but to serve" (Mark 10:45), and following his example, the Church seeks to remember the poor (Galatians 2:10), serving in Jesus' name.

God has entrusted us with time and resources, blessing us so that we might be a blessing to others. We reach out in Christ's name, seeking to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.  This is one of the ways we live out our belief that God loves all people.

We are blessed by God with so many opportunities to care for one another and to live lives of faithful service in Jesus' name.

St. Luke's partners with many community organizations where we connect directly with those who are in need of food, shelter, or simply a listening ear.  We also support these organizations financially through special offerings.

Take a look and see where God might be calling you to love and serve your neighbor with the love of Christ.

Benefit Luncheon

for Sara Julian

Sunday, September 25 at 12:00 p.m.

A benefit luncheon has been planned for Sara Julian. Sara has Wegener's Disease and has lost much of her hearing and now needs to purchase hearing aids. This disease has also affected the inside of her nose and she will need to have reconstructive surgery on it. The disease is in remission; however there is no cure. The donations received at the benefit luncheon will help with medical expenses not covered. Thrivent will provide up to $1,000 in matching funds. The luncheon will include spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, dessert and a drink.

If you are planning on attending, please call the church office so we can prepare enough food for all. Thank you for your generous support.
